The Elan GT6, the flagship of the GT series, is a boat that catches many eyes on the fjord and in port. Like all other Elan models, the boat has a hull developed by Humphreys Yacht Design, with a track record that includes boats that have sailed both the America’s Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race.

Interior and exterior are designed by Studio FA Porsche (Porsche Design). The boat has a number of good qualities, such as an inviting interior with lots of solid wood edges, the option for a submersible rotating TV and much, much more. The hull is built for speed and comfort. On deck, the boat is equipped with high-end deck equipment and is among the only boats under 50 feet that have a flush deck in front of the mast. All joints and halyards are pulled aft to the helmsman’s position for easy handling shorthanded.

The boat’s hull length is under 50 feet, which means that the boat can be sailed without a D5L certificate. On deck there is also a large storage room between the bowsprit and anchor well, where there is room for both fenders and sails. The boat is built with Elan’s VAIL technology, which makes it incredibly stiff and solid. She is set up with a layout that is intended for the boat to be sailed easily single handed without the rest of the crew sitting in the cockpit sitting in the way of winches etc.

It comes standard with two cockpit tables with a passage in the middle. If you raise the flaps, you get one large table. The flaps against the benches can be lowered to make a sunbed from the cockpit benches and table flaps. She can be delivered with two or three cabins and two bathrooms. In addition, it is possible to equip it with a retractable coffee table to get extra beds if needed.

The standard version with two cabins has, in addition to the large storage room in the foredeck, a very spacious storage room under the cockpit bench on the starboard side. In addition to a long list of standard equipment, this one comes with artificial teak decking throughout the boat. This can be replaced with regular teak if desired.
